Branimir D. Reljin received the Dipl. Ing (B.Sc.) degree in 1969, the M.Sc. degree in 1977
and the Ph.D. degree in 1983, all from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering
(FEE) University of Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro (former Yugoslavia), in the
field of the Circuit Theory and Network Synthesis. Since 1974 he is joined at
the FEE,
He has published more than 350 papers in technical journals and conferences, four books and several book chapters, on different aspect of circuit theory, neural networks, digital and medical image processing, fractal- and multifractal analyses, as well as a number of papers in domestic conference proceedings. He has been awarded twice for the best paper at the largest national (Yugoslav) scientific conference of the Society of Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation and Nuclear Engineering (ETAN), later on renamed to ETRAN (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Automation and Nuclear Engineering).
Branimir
Reljin was a project leader for several national and international projects in
the field of Neural Networks, Medical Imaging and Telemedicine, Signal
Acquisition and Processing, and currently he is a coordinator of Working Group
5 in COST Action 292 “Semantic
multimodal analysis of digital media”. He is the President of the 3C
committee for standards in electrical engineering and the member of the
Committee of national standards in medical informatics, Group for information
technologies, of the Federal Office for Standardization. Also, he is a member
of several scientific and professional societies, an IEEE SCG (former YU)
CAS&SP Chair, as well as the Vice-President of the national professional
society ETRAN. Also, he is a member of the editorial boards of several journals
and has been on the program committees of a number of conferences. He is a
General Chair of the IEEE co-sponsored conferences on Neural Network
Applications in Electrical Engineering (NEUREL, in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2002,
2004, and 2006).
